The college basketball season has been underway for more than a month and the season has already given us some exciting moments, unexpected results, and plenty to talk about these last few weeks. There have been holiday tournaments, conference challenges, and even the start of conference play for a number of leagues. Rightfully regarded as one of the best basketball conferences in the nation, Big Ten Basketball got a week’s worth of those games last week.

While it’s a conference full of fantastic programs, it’s now been twenty-one years since a member of the Big Ten won the national championship. There have been some amazing teams in the conference since the turn of the century, with six different Big Ten programs losing in the title game since then. Even this year, there are a few teams that look fantastic in the conference early on, though a few others seem to be struggling right out the gate.

We’ll be taking a closer look at each of the fourteen teams in the Big Ten, examining what’s happened over the first month of the season and how each of these teams looks. There were preseason expectations and rankings for these Big Ten teams, but after a month of play, we’ll be updating our rankings and presenting them here. Obviously, things can still change in the coming months, and we could see many more changes, especially when conference play begins in January.

Without further ado, let’s get right into the rankings, starting from the bottom and working our way towards the best teams in the Big Ten.
