As the calendar turns to 2022 the NCAA Basketball season now switches to conference play. Most teams have already played a full non-conference slate and if it didn’t go well, most teams are going to have a second opportunity to make a push to the NCAA tournament. On a more serious note, there are currently 68 teams on pause due to Covid 19. All of those teams are going to play again soon and this little hiccup in the season will be behind us.
As we head into the first week of the conference season, and the first week of 2022. The CDC has just changed the quarantine rules for those players that test positive to five days after the positive test and then must mask for five days after that. It is not out of the question that some teams are still going to be shut down, but given the new rules hopefully not for as long. Keep in mind that teams only have to have seven scholarship players and one coach available to play their games.
This week’s questions are going to be looking at the 2021 season in review. There is going to be a review of the best game of the previous season. This week is also going to be a look into the new year as I look at the New Season in the NCAA as a whole. There also may be a new favorite in one of the power six conferences. There is also going to be a question on a team that has not lived up to expectations so far this season.
As always thank you to everyone who has ever sent me a question or read an article. It means a lot to me and all of us at Busting Brackets.
