Georgia Bulldogs

Head coach Tom Crean is on one of the hottest seats in NCAA Basketball at the moment. His Bulldogs are 5-8 overall entering SEC play and will be an underdog in nearly all of them outside of games against Vanderbilt and Missouri. It’s hard to envision him being around for the 2023-24 season to even get Allen but if he does, it could be part of a top-10 overall class.

Georgia currently has a pair of commitments from four-star shooting guard Marquavious Brown and four-star small forward Mari Jordan, both of whom are local players and could stick with the program even after a coaching change. If that occurs, Allen could be joining a talented class for either Coach Crean or someone else he likes and gets a ton of immediate playing time as a freshman.

Kansas Jayhawks

Few programs in the past decade have had more success with point guards than Bill Self and Kansas, who’ll be looking for a new lead-ballhandler of the future. Remy Martin and Joseph Yesufu will be long gone by the time Allen arrives, while redshirt freshmen Dajuan Harris and Bobbi Pettiford Jr. could have several options over the next couple of years.

The Jayhawks do still have potential sanctions coming from the NCAA due to the ongoing investigation of alleged recruiting violations. But odds are good that any postseason ban will come next year for the 2022-23 season so it wouldn’t affect Allen. But I doubt that would steer him away if he truly wanted to play for the Big 12 juggernaut.
