Indiana Basketball beat 13th ranked Ohio State by 16 behind Trayce Jackson Jr, Trey Galloway, and another stellar defensive performance. The Hoosiers continue their stellar record at home with this victory. Indiana has yet to lose a game this season at home.

The final score of this game was 67-51. Indiana improves to 11-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play. This was the best win that IU has had all year.  Around 40 percent of IU points came from Trayce Jackson Jr. As expected most of the offense came through him operating in the post.

Both teams struggled from three in this game. At the end of the first half, Ohio State shot 3 of 13 from three, while Indiana shot 1 of 9 from three. While Indiana continued to struggle mightily from three in this game. Ohio State was able to pick up their three-point shooting as they shot 5 of 14 from the three-point line. Overall Indiana shot 13 percent from three, while Ohio State shot 29 percent from three.  Although IU was not able to make three’s in today’s game, the defense was outstanding in this game.

Indiana’s defense has been strong all year, and this game was no disappointment. One of the better defensive teams in the country was able to hold the Buckeyes to 51 points. Due to Indiana’s great defense, Ohio State shot poorly from the floor all game.  In the first half, Ohio State was held to 34 percent shooting from the field. In the second half,  Ohio State was held to 26 percent shooting from the field.

IU offensive production came squarely from Trayce Jackson Jr. Trayce’s performance was one of three takeaways I had from this game.
