NCAA Basketball conference play is in full effect and it looks like the majority of the Covid pauses are behind us as most of the teams are back playing again. Conference play always brings a new set of challenges and the country is going to find out about teams we all thought were good but have some flaws as they get exposed when conference play starts.

We have all learned a lot this year about every team and it is that there are no elite teams. Every team has flaws and the question of who is going to win the NCAA tournament is still up in the air.

The conference season also gives fans and media members a clearer picture for Player of the Year races.  This week’s Sunday Mailbag is going to focus on the player of the year race both nationally and conference.  There is also a question that focuses on the woes of a team in a power conference and why they are struggling and continue to struggle.  There were only two questions this week so I have added one of my own.

This article is made possible by all of the readers. You all send questions that you would like answered and a lot of them force me to do a lot of research.  I do hope that I provide well thought out complete answers to the questions. Thank you to everyone who has ever read an article and supported Busting Brackets. These articles would not be possible without that support.  The questions for this week’s Sunday Mailbag are below.
