The NCAA Tournament remains the best postseason experience in the world of sports. Two months from now, 68 teams will hear their names read on Selection Sunday, setting up an insane three weeks of basketball across the country. Every single tournament has given us unforgettable moments, memories, and performances, ending in the crowning of a single national champion.

Two months into this season, we’ve already had unforgettable moments and amazing performances, and we’re still only in the middle of January. We’ve endured COVID pauses, seen amazing upsets, and are still trying to catch up with all the recent crazy action from conference play. We’re a couple of weeks into conference play and there’s not a league that hasn’t had their fair share of drama. What transpired this past week was remarkable, with a great number of ranked teams losing and many other teams being upset, just in this past seven days alone.

Today, the focus will specifically be on the teams that had a good week and what that means for their bracketology. We’ll be looking closely at eight teams that impressed this week and did something to take a step forward in regards to the NCAA Tournament. Many of these teams had impressive performances against ranked teams, while others just took care of their own business and had weeks that helped build their resumes.

We are still in January, but it’s important to be winning games right now in preparation for March. The Selection Committee is already watching; let’s get right into these eight teams.
