1. Auburn (18-1)

It’s hard to argue with the results, and the results this season have been outstanding for Auburn. The Tigers dropped a double overtime game in the Bahamas to a feisty Connecticut team but haven’t lost a game since then. They’ve played fantastic basketball since SEC play began, picking up yet another nice win over a top-tier team in the conference this week.

Auburn got the week started solidly, picking up an 83-60 win at home against Georgia, one of the weakest teams in the conference. Walker Kessler had 15 points and 6 blocks, helping lead a very balanced Tigers offense in the win. Kessler was even better over the weekend, securing 19 points and 7 rebounds in an 80-71 win over Kentucky, one of the top teams in the SEC. Not only is Auburn now 7-0 in the SEC, but they have wins over these Wildcats to go along with LSU, Florida, and Alabama.

It’s hard to find a team that’s had a better start to conference play, regardless of the league, and you’ll find it difficult to find a better backcourt than Kessler and Jabari Smith. The Tigers look impressive on defense and dynamic on offense and continue to pick up these nice wins to secure their place among the best teams in college basketball. An intriguing week awaits, with a winnable road game at Missouri and then a matchup with Oklahoma over the weekend.

We’ve completed our deep look at the top 25 teams in the nation; which of these teams make their mark this upcoming week?
