February is here, which means that next month the NCAA tournament will be here as well. There are officially four weeks until Championship week begins and then in a mere six weeks, we will all know the NCAA tournament field. This season has not been easy for anyone as there were the Covid shutdowns again, mask mandates again, arenas empty for about two weeks again. That is all behind us and it’s time for everyone to shift their gears towards the NCAA Tournament.

There is still the question of who is going to fill the field. This year there are a lot of teams who are just okay and there are a ton who could reasonably win the championship or get sent home in the first game of the tournament.

That is also something that can be said every year, but this year it feels like the good mid-major programs are much closer to the good power conference schools. It should also be noted that some of the countries most powerful conferences every year have struggled and don’t have many tournament-worthy teams right now.

It is time for the Bubble Watch. In this article, I will break down every conference that is going to have a team on the bubble. You will see the teams who are locks for the tournament, those who are on the bubble, and those who still have an outside chance to get into the tournament but have work to do.

I will look at the NET and the Quad wins and Strength of Schedule to determine who I believe to be firmly on the bubble. Keep in mind your team could still have a lot of work to do even though the metrics like them a lot. The Bubble watch is below.
