Can Syracuse Basketball make it four straight wins overall this week against Boston College?

Syracuse Basketball (12-11) is back on the road this week, as they head to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts to take on the Boston College Eagles (9-12) in ACC action at 8 pm eastern time on the ACC Network. Syracuse is riding a three-game win streak and is coming off a blowout in the last game at home against the Louisville Cardinals. The Orange are looking to carry the momentum into this game against the Eagles.

Players to Watch

Jesse Edwards has given the Orange a spark in the past few games at the center position. He is improving game by game, carrying the Orange during the win streak, and stepping up as a major factor in painted area. He defiantly has stepped up, as he is playing as a key player in the Syracuse rotation.

Buddy Boeheim will be another player to watch, after dropping 19 points and five assists against the Cardinals, he is looking to carry the performance over to the next game against Boston College. Boeheim is playing as a team-first player as of late, making sure his teammates are getting the ball and scoring off the assists he is creating for them. Joseph Girard III and Cole Swider are going be factors from behind the three-point arc, as both players combined for six for eleven from the three-point line against Louisville. The Orange will have to make plays that factor these two in and make sure they are open for the easy three.

Keys to the Game

  1. Keep the defense going- Syracuse forced a total of 14 turnovers, and nine steals against Louisville. They have to keep the defense strong and force the Eagles to make the mistakes down the stretch of the game.
  2. Keep going to the line- Syracuse went to the foul line 19 times and hitting 16 free throws. The Orange need to keep attacking the basket and making sure they hit the easy points when they count.
  3. Hold the lead- Syracuse kept and held a large lead against the Louisville Cardinals, resulting in a 92-69 victory. Syracuse will need to keep the momentum early and come out hot against the Eagles, and not allow them to stay in the game.

Syracuse will look to keep the momentum going for the rest of the season and continue the hot streak they are on. The Boston College Eagles will put up a fight, however, the Syracuse Orange offense and defense efforts will be too much for them to fight with. Syracuse will keep the streak going and get the easy win, 87-65.
