With each day and week that passes, we inch closer and closer towards the NCAA Tournament. March Madness presents one of the greatest postseason events in all of sports, with three weeks of fantastic play as we narrow down 68 contenders into this season’s national championship. We’re already getting a taste of which teams will be the favorites to cut down the nets, but there’s still so much to be determined this season.

We’re now nearly halfway through February, meaning we’re just over a month away from Selection Sunday. The Selection Committee is no doubt already watching some of these teams like a hawk. Throughout injuries, illnesses, and everything in between, every contending team faces that judgment and worthiness of their season. We still have that month left for teams to make an impact, either positive or negative.

For now, our focus turns towards the positive. Today, we’ll be looking closely at a number of teams that had impressive weeks, especially in regards to bracketology. This article isn’t specifically about which teams had the best weeks, but which teams made an important impact for their standing with the Selection Committee. In general, impressive performances against ranked teams and pulling unexpected upset wins is a great way to catch attention and several of these teams did that this week.

It’s mid-February and it’s time to make a move; these teams did that this week. Let’s start running through these five teams.
