Both teams relied on the three-point shot tonight

In the first half alone, Wright State attempted 12 three-point shots and Oakland shot 18 from beyond the arc. Oakland’s Parrish for example went three for five from three-point land and Lampman made two of his three-point attempts in the first half. The Raiders Basile was two for three from beyond the arc before halftime and Andrew Welage was two for four from three-point land prior to halftime. To start the second half, Wright State’s Trey Calvin made a three-point, and then Oakland Cain made a three-pointer as well.

The Golden Grizzlies Lampman made a three from the top of the key to give Oakland a 48-43 lead with just under 15 minutes remaining in the game and Cain made his second three-pointer of the half with just over 14 minutes left in the second half to give the Golden Grizzlies an eight-point lead. Oakland at this point of the game was four for sixth from beyond the arc in the second half.

Oakland kept shooting well from three-point rand when Trey Townsend made a three-pointer from top of the key to give Oakland a 56-46 lead. Lampman made a fading three-pointer from the wing to give the Golden Grizzlies a 63-51 lead with just over nine minutes remaining in the game. Wright State’s Keaton Norris made a three to cut Oakland’s lead to nine. The Raiders Holden and then Norris made back-to-back threes to narrow Oakland’s lead to only five points.

Trey Calvin made a long three from the top of the key to give the Raiders a 74-72 lead with just over two minutes left in the game. However, the game’s final minutes would not be determined by three-pointers.
