Tournament Locks Tier 1

Providence: 24-4

Villanova: 23-7

UConn: 22-8

These three teams are all locks to be at least 5 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, barring something dramatic happening.

Tournament Locks Tier 2

Creighton: 20-10

Seton Hall: 20-9

Marquette: 19-11

These three teams are also locks to make the NCAA Tournament and are all hovering in the 7-9 seed area and can improve their seeding with a big week at MSG.

Needs Some Work

Xavier: 18-12

The Musketeers have fallen off a cliff since mid-February and probably need multiple wins in the Big East Tournament to ensure they are a lock for the tourney.

Extreme Long Shot

St. John’s: 16-14

Now, this one is a stretch but say there is a world where the Red Storm blow out DePaul, Villanova, and UConn and lose a very close game in the championship. How do you leave them out? This won’t happen, but we can fantasize it.
