Atlantic 10 Bracketology

This is where things get really interesting. Per Bracket Matrix, Davidson is the only Atlantic 10 team safely in the field. A win for the Wildcats in their first-round match-up should lock them in, and then they’d simply be playing for seeding at that point. And if they win it all in DC, it’s quite possible that the A-10 is only a one-bid league this year.

However, there are a host of other teams on the bubble. Both VCU and Dayton appear on the wrong side of the bubble in a host of bracket projections, and St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis have been popping up recently as well. Obviously, if any of those teams wins it all, the conference would likely get two bids. But if VCU makes it to the finals, are they in? How about Dayton? Do the Bonnies or Billikens have a path to an at-large?

It’s impossible to know. Which makes what’s about to go down in Washington DC that much more interesting. The bet here is that somehow, someway, more than one A-10 team will be dancing this March.
