The Indiana Hoosiers look to continue their success from their win over Wyoming, while Saint Mary’s looks to start their tournament run in this battle of great defenses.

TV schedule:  March 17th, 2022 at TBS on 7:20 P.M

Location: Moda Center (Portland, Oregon)

The Indiana Hoosiers are 21-13 going into this game. The Hoosiers are led by Trayce Jackson-Davis. Davis averages 18 points on 58 percent shooting from the field. Additionally, he averages 8 rebounds per game. The Hoosiers earned an at-large bid in the tournament after beating Michigan and Illinois in the Big Ten Tournament.

Indiana lost to the Iowa Hawkeyes in the semifinals off a buzzer-beater shot. While the Hoosiers did get into the tournament, they were a first-four team in the East Region. They beat Wyoming in their First Four matchup behind Davis’s 29 points.

Indiana has a very good defense. The Hoosiers allow 65 points per game. Indiana is very good at limiting shots within the three-point arc. Opposing teams shot 43 percent from within the arc. That is good for 7th in the country.

Additionally, he averages six rebounds per game. After making it to the West Coast Conference championship game, the Gaels lost to Gonzaga.  The Gaels are the 5th seed in the East Region.
