March is finally here! Well, March has been here for a couple of weeks, but the most important part of March has arrived: the NCAA Tournament.

This week, 68 teams will begin competing to take home the national title in college basketball. As the bracket crumbles beneath the feet of most of the teams, only one will be left standing and everyone wants to know who it will be – after all, that’s what makes or breaks the brackets of the fans.

While every team dreams of cutting down the nets in April, most teams don’t have a realistic shot at doing so. There’s only a handful of teams that have legitimate title aspirations. That number might extend beyond 10, but we’re going to focus on that top tier here.

So who is going to take down the crown? We all know who the usual suspects are: Kentucky, Kansas, Duke. Gonzaga has never won a national title, but they’ve been on the periphery for each of the past few years, so it’s easy to throw them into the mix too.

There are a handful of teams, however, that will come from lower seeds and surprising regions, ready to upset the balance of college basketball. What’s fun about those teams is that they’re as likely to run to the Final Four as they are to lose in the First Round. That’s the beauty of college basketball.

Let’s rank the 10 teams most likely to win the national championship next month, working in reverse order (to build intrigue, naturally).
