As the time ticked away on Sunday afternoon and the second weekend was coming to a close, the storylines of one of the best second weekends in recent memory of the NCAA Tournament were coming to light.  This year has been a dream for a writer because a lot of these storylines have been written themselves.

The casual basketball fan may have not liked it as much given the underdogs and the lower seeds playing in the second weekend.  Things like that are what make this tournament great.  It truly is a quest to find the National Champion. Anyone can win the tournament if they win 6 games over 3 weeks.

The final four is set and it is an all Blue Blood final four.  In my bracket I had a final four with all Blue Bloods, I just didn’t select the correct ones of the lot.  The games this weekend were very competitive in the Sweet 16 on Thursday and Friday and the Elite Eight games were not very competitive as the winners were all able to separate pretty quickly.  History was made and the Final Four are going to be first for two of the teams remaining.

There were way more than five storylines that took place during the second weekend of the NCAA tournament but there were five that stood out more than others for me. These are the storylines that we are all going to be talking about heading into the final four on Saturday and heading into the offseason.
