17. Dante Cunningham – Villanova, 2006-2009

Career stats: 9.6 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 1.2 SPG

Cunningham ranks first in Villanova history in offensive rebounds (since 2000) and defensive win shares, per Sports Reference. He made an Elite Eight as a freshman, a Sweet 16 as a junior, and was the best player on the 2008-09 team that helped Jay Wright make his first Final Four. Cunningham was a relentlessly physical presence who saw as much team success as any Villanova player during the earlier part of Wright’s tenure at the school.

16. Donte DiVincenzo – Villanova, 2016-2018

Career stats: 10.2 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 2.4 APG

DiVincenzo redshirted as a freshman with a foot injury but was still a member of that 2016 national championship team. As a redshirt sophomore in 2017-18, he averaged 13.4 points and was the best sixth man in the country. His college career ended with him dropping 31 points on five threes to beat Michigan in the 2018 national championship game – a performance that boosted his stock and made him the No. 17 pick in the first round of the NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.

15. Kris Jenkins – Villanova, 2014-2017

Career stats: 9.5 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 1.5 APG

Jenkins might not have the career statistics or All-Big East selections that some of the other players on this list have, but he did average 13.4 points over his last two seasons and was a starter on the 2016 national championship team. Hitting the most important shot in program history and arguably the greatest shot in college basketball history has to be worth something. I like champions. I also like players who hit game-winners at the buzzer to win championships.
