North Carolina Tar Heels

The Tar Heels not only made it to the national title game as an 8 seed this past NCAA Tournament, but they also are bringing back all four remaining starters in Caleb Love, RJ Davis, Leaky Black, and Armando Bacot. The only starter gone is sharpshooting power forward Brady Manek, who had no eligibility left.

While Baldwin isn’t a natural power forward, he has the size and ability to play the four-spot for North Carolina. When healthy, he showed at Milwaukee he could rebound at a high rate and shoot the ball from deep and provide needed spacing. And he would be an upgrade over Manek in that he can create his own offense. Also, if Baldwin really wants to get under the skin of Duke fans after snubbing them once, playing for their hated rival would be the ultimate troll move.

Northwestern Wildcats

If there was an official “final 3” for Baldwin last time around, the Wildcats would’ve been the odd man out. They were on the five-star prospect for a while, with its academics being a top selling point. It still could be, while also playing for a coaching staff Baldwin is very familiar with and would know how to use him properly on offense.

Assuming even that leading scorer Pete Nance isn’t coming back, Northwestern still has some good returning talent in guards Boo Buie and Chase Audiege. Baldwin would come in and be a focal point on the offense and play with no pressure at all, considering how little success this Big Ten program has achieved in modern time.
