NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Ranking 2023 5-star wing Ron Holland’s top 8

UCLA Bruins
The Bruins were unable to repeat their surprise run to the Final Four last season, but head coach Mick Cronin has the overall trend of the program headed in the right direction. Since he stepped foot on campus, Cronin has instilled his philosophies into this UCLA team and continues to build them higher and higher. His success on the recruiting trail has paid dividends to repeatedly elevate the roster and develop his players to reach new heights.
Aside from producing on the court, which should continue with the level of player development the program has displayed, Cronin’s next rung on his resume is producing NBA-ready talent. This summer’s draft could see Johnny Juzang and Peyton Watson hear their names called in the draft, and next year’s draft class could include incoming freshmen Amari Bailey and Adem Bona along with college veteran Jaime Jaquez. The talent is there for Cronin to boast about, but he will have to wait a little longer to see it come to fruition.
The positive for him and Holland is the overall track record of the UCLA program in general. No other program in college basketball history has won more national championships than the Bruins. Their list of NBA legends and Hall of Famers as well is very extensive. The vision can be very clear for Holland at a program like UCLA.
Aside from what the UCLA brand signifies, he would be joining the roster during an overhaul of their starting lineup and should immediately ascend to the starting lineup at one of the premier national programs. There’s plenty of exposure and stock elevation that comes with that inherently.
