It’s been around 45 days since the start of the NCAA Basketball offseason, which includes over 1,500 D-I transfers, over 100 NBA Draft decisions, and coaching carousel moves. Just about every single program has been affected in a way, with only around 10 teams have not lost a player to the portal.

Although many teams saw multiple players leave, some saw even more arrive to replace them. Some teams did better than others in that department, while others have so far struggled to bring in new talent.

So at this point, which NCAA Basketball programs have done the best overall this offseason? Here are 15 teams and an overview of what they have accomplished, as well as a couple of honorable mentions.

Honorable Mention: Chattanooga Mocs

The Mocs lost rising star head coach Lamont Paris and SoCon Player of the Year Malachi Smith this offseason but have rebounded as well as they could’ve asked. They landed VMI head coach Dan Earl and brought with him All-SoCon center Jake Stephens and double-digit freshman scoring guard Honor Huff. With five other impact transfers also coming on board, including most recently,  Khristion Courseault from Houston Baptist, the Mocs will remain as a league contender next season.

Honorable Mention: Memphis Tigers

The Tigers only landed two newcomers this offseason but one of them was a big name in Kendric Davis, the AAC Player of the Year from SMU that averaged around 19 ppg and 6.0 apg in the past couple of years. He gives Memphis a true point guard and playmaker, something they really haven’t had since head coach Penny Hardaway has been around. While the team hasn’t added as much starpower as usual, the roster makes more sense now than it did this past year.

Honorable Mention: UAB Blazers

The Blazers got great news with the announcement that leading scorer and Conference USA Player of the Year guard Jordan “Jelly” Walker is coming for a 5th year after coming back from the NBA Draft process. He automatically gives the team a great chance to repeat as league champs and is joined by another batch of great transfer pickups in Eric Gaines, Ty and Ladarrius Brewer, Tyler Bertram, and Javian Davis. This is a core that if everything meshes well can be a winner for UAB.
