3. Shaedon Sharpe – Kentucky Wildcats

Back-to-back shockers right? The offensive gravity and potential superstardom Sharpe offers sets him apart. Although a lot of people don’t have a firm understanding why Sharpe is getting all this buzz and why I would peg him this high, it’s simple.

Sharpe is currently at 6’5 with a 6’11 wingspan. Long arms that can be impactful in passing lanes, deterring shots, and overall be a nuisance. Highly confident in Sharpe turning into a great perimeter defender. From his EYBL tape you can tell he has the tools and flashes the exciting plays enough to believe the same way.

Due to the lack of exposure and playing time, it is really the only reason holding back Sharpe from being considered the best player in the entire 2022 draft. He could come in right now for the Magic and become the go-to primary option for one of the worst offenses in the league.

Sharpe is eerily similar to Vince Carter, Paul George, and Tracy McGrady in playstyle. Being an extremely good 2-way player is attainable. His being a draft mystery may cause the Magic to hesitate about him being the top pick.
