It is hard to believe that the NCAA Basketball offseason is already in June. So much has already happened as the deadline for transfers to receive a waiver must have declared by May 1st. That was a big event in the shaping of rosters for next season but still doesn’t have the most impact on roster makeup as the event that just passed.

June 1st marked the key date for all players in the NBA draft as they must decide if they are coming back to school or going to stay in the NBA draft and say goodbye to their college careers.

There were some very impactful decisions that could alter the conference races and a few of them are going to instantly make a team a final four contender. Many teams were impacted positively by the decisions of their players, while many other teams were impacted negatively. There were far more teams who got bad news than those teams who got good news on draft decision day. Either way, this is a good way to get some more clarity on your rosters as we all move into the summer.

There were five teams who fared better than everyone else in the country. There were also five teams who felt the decisions of the NBA draft were harder than others. As you read further, I will get into the five teams who can be considered “winners” and the five teams who can be considered “losers.”  All these teams mentioned in this article are teams who are going to be competitive, and all would likely be in the preseason bracketology conversation. The teams are below.
