It was quietly one of the more impressive in-season turnarounds for Arkansas Basketball in 2022, going from being on the bubble after the non-conference to making a big run in SEC play and eventually going to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament.

That made it the second straight trip to the final eight for the Razorbacks under head coach Eric Musselman and it has turned the program into a national juggernaut. And it has shown on the recruiting trail, currently with the No. 2 overall class for 2022 that was capped off by landing five-star guard Anthony Black in March, joining fellow five-star commits, Nick Smith and Jordan Walsh.

Of course, that didn’t mean that Coach Musselman was going to shy away from the transfer portal. The team was able to land five veteran newcomers, including four frontcourt players and one wing. It creates an interesting contrast between an older frontcourt and a younger backcourt.

Overall, that makes it 11 newcomers to the roster, with just Kamani Johnson and Davonte Davis returning to the roster. Many left, including most notably, star big man Jaylin Williams. Had he come back from the NBA Draft process, there was a case that Arkansas could’ve been the preseason No. 1 team for the 2022-23 campaign.

But regardless of where you have them in way-too-early pieces, the Razorbacks are going to be a problem both in the SEC and nationally. Yet not all of them are going to play so who will be the key guys to watch on this roster? Here’s how I have the rotations working out.
