NBA Draft 2022: Final mock draft predictions of all 58 picks
41. New Orleans Pelicans – Jean Montero (Overtime Elite)
One of the youngest players in the NBA Draft at 18 years old, Montero has plenty of long-term potential for a team that isn’t sold on its current point guard play to take a flyer on. Montero looked good in the brand new basketball platform at Overtime Elite but it’s hard to tell how things will translate. The Pelicans could use another ball-handler as its frontcourt situation works out and Montero can spend time for their G League affiliate for the first year or two to continue developing.
42. New York Knicks – Michael Foster Jr. – (G League Ignite)
Another former five-star recruit out of college, Foster offers an athletic forward at 6’9 and 240 pounds that can score in a variety of ways. He’s similar to Julius Randle, an all-star power forward for the Knicks that currently has been in a rut with the franchise. Assuming moves are made in the frontcourt, Foster has the chance to get some minutes with them.
43. Los Angeles Clippers – Peyton Watson (UCLA Bruins)
The former five-star wing prospect was stuck behind the clog of wings at UCLA and technically, the Clippers have plenty too with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Yet both have been injured for the last few years so having some literally in the wings would be a good option in the middle of the second round. Watson has potential that may not have been tapped so he’s more than worth it here.
