NBA Draft 2022: Final mock draft predictions of all 58 picks
56. Cleveland Cavaliers – Julian Champagnie (St. John’s Red Storm)
With Isaac Okoro as the starting small forward, there’s a chance that the Cavaliers can add an offensive option off the bench that is versatile. Champagnie is 6’8 and averaged nearly 20 ppg last season and can score anywhere on the court. How his defense and athleticism translate will determine how long he stays but Cleveland could have room for him on the roster thanks to his offensive creativity.
57. Portland Trailblazers – Jaylin Williams (Arkansas Razorbacks)
Williams was a double-digit scorer in the frontcourt and yet e 6’10 forward was more known for his defense/taking charges and passing, as he led Arkansas in assists for most of last season. His versatility would be a nice boost for Portland and his all-around game would allow him to have a rotational spot, assuming his defense remains strong.
58. Indiana Pacers – Moussa Diabate (Michigan Diabate)
Diabate was a former five-star prospect that didn’t really fit with the Wolverines but is a physical and athletic big man that can play strong defense. With plenty of room to grow, the 6’10 forward either needs to develop a consistent three-point shooter or gain some weight to play the center position.
But Indiana, who may be moving Myles Turner this offseason, could use another frontcourt player to get minutes and Diabata is the most likely option towards the end of the draft they can get and develop.
