With the class of 2023 NCAA Basketball recruiting class now in full focus, it’s time to look at some key storylines featuring some of the top players involved. We’re set to get a lot starting this weekend, with the annual EYBL Peach Jam starting up in Atlanta. It’s arguably the biggest evaluation event in the Summer and many top-50 prospects will be there in front of the top college head coaches.

Don’t be surprised if some major news breaks regarding some of the participants when the Peach Jam starts up this weekend. But what should you keep up with in the following days and weeks throughout the offseason? Here are my 10 storylines to watch.

Future of GG Jackson

This article is supposed to be about the 2023 class and technically, GG Jackson is still there as a commit to North Carolina. But in the past couple of weeks, the whispers have turned into shouts, as the rumors of him de-committing and joining regional rival South Carolina and reclassifying to play next season.

It wouldn’t be a big shock, as Jackson comes from Columbia, South Carolina and his mother is an alum there. In fact, had Frank Martin not been fired after the season, the top-3 overall prospect probably would’ve committed to the Gamecocks and not even dealt with the Tar Heels.

If it does happen, it would be a tough blow for UNC but the coaching staff has months to find a replacement at the power forward position. As for South Carolina, it would put them in the national spotlight for next season and have an NBA talent to showcase. How many wins he’d be worth remains to be seen.
