Next elite recruiting class for Arkansas

Duke may have gotten another No. 1 overall recruiting class but it was Eric Musselman and Arkansas that got most of the spotlight in April for its group, ranked No. 2 overall. The highly-talented group is six-deep of guards, led by the five-star trio of Anthony Black, Nick Smith, and Jordan Walsh. And there are three more top-100 recruits that are falling under the radar in Barry Dunning, Joseph Pinion, and Derrian Ford.

Because of how many transfers the Razorbacks love taking each offseason, don’t expect every year to be a major haul. But five-star recruits are definitely more interesting in the back-to-back Elite 8 appearing program, including some in the 2023 class. One is point guard Layden Blocker, currently ranked in the top-30 overall and very well could be a five-star in the next set of updates.

But Arkansas has been more selective for some of the other targets. They’re reportedly in the mix for Ron Holland but Kentucky looks to be leading that recruitment. But a big they have a good chance with is Baye Fall, a 6’10 center and five-star prospect out of Denver, Colorado. He’s blown up in the past year to now be in the top 20 overall and programs such as Auburn and Texas are also after him.

After landing multiple senior frontcourt players, the Razorbacks will have room for an instant impact big man to come in and get minutes. Fall could very well be that guy for them and they’re certainly pulling out all the stops.
