4. Georgia Tech Yellowjackets

The Yellow Jackets finished last in the ACC last season after having only two double-digit scorers (Mike Devoe and Jordan Usher) on offense. Both of them are gone and their replacement is a pair of mid-major transfers in Lance Terry (Gardner-Webb) and Javon Franklin (South Alabama). Even if these two replace Devoe and Usher in production, that still makes the team at the bottom of the ACC.

With plenty of spots available, especially at center, Georgia Tech could’ve added at least a couple more impact players to have a more competitive roster. But next to Oregon State and maybe Kansas State, it’s hard to see a worse power conference roster on paper. Coach Josh Paster could very well be on the hot seat and this offseason didn’t help matters.

3. Northwestern Wildcats

The record may not have shown it but the Wildcats were very competitive last season and had half of the close calls gone their way, they may had kept star forward Pete Nance from transferring out. Not only is he gone, but Ryan Young and freshman guard Casey Simmons have left also, leaving mainly Boo Buie and Chase Audige left as the key pieces on the roster.

The only newcomer to the roster is UTEP transfer Tydus Verhoeven, a 6’9 big who averaged 6.6 ppg and 4.6 rpg. He and Robbie Beran getting all the minutes inside won’t cut it in the Big Ten next season and head coach Chris Collins is really on the hot seat. The lack of movement this offseason most likely dooms them to another bottom-tier league finish.
