. . Horned Frogs . 13. team. 466.

One of the best players in the Big 12 is Mike Miles, who led the Horned Frogs with 15.4 ppg and 3.8 apg last season, leading the team to the NCAA Tournament. While he shot under 40% from the field and 30% from deep, he was able to muster up some big performances; including 28 points against Utah, 26 versus Texas Tech, and 26 points and five assists against Baylor.

Miles’ backcourt partner is Damion Baugh, who led TCU with 4.5 apg, along with 10.6 ppg and 4.4 rpg. The 6’3 playmaker had a slow start to last season but became one of the best passers in Big 12 play, including nine in a game against Kansas in the conference tournament.

Starting wing Chuck O’Bannon is back for an extra year after putting up 9.5 ppg while shooting 34% from three-point range. He, along with returning guards Shahada Wells, SMU transfer Tyler Lundblade and Oklahoma State transfer guard Rondel Walker adds to the depth for the Frogs in the backcourt. And incoming three-star P.J. Haggerty could be a surprise candidate to make the rotation in the backcourt as well.

Miles and Baugh are one of the top duos in NCAA Basketball which gives them a high floor for next season. With better shooting from Miles and O’Bannon from the perimeter, TCU could be a top-10 team and legit contender in the Big 12.
