Clemson Tigers

The Tigers suffered a scare with the news of PJ Hall, the team’s leading scorer and rebounder from last year, suffered an injury that’ll keep him out for at least the start of next season. It may take him until the new year to get back into gear and the team doesn’t have a lot of depth overall to withstand Hall not being at his best so adding an impact big would make sense.

With Ian Schieffelin and Ben Middlebrooks as the current backups anyways, Kante could easily become the 3rd big in the rotation and even start when Hall is out. The chance to have meaningful minutes in the ACC is a solid selling point for the transfer and offensively would have a solid role.

Colorado State Rams

The Rams lost not only its best player but also the Mountain West Player of the Year in David Roddy, a 6’5 forward that averaged 19.2 ppg and 7.5 rpg. The team didn’t really replace him outside of landing 6’8 forward Patrick Cartier, a former All-American at the D-II level. There’s not much depth in the frontcourt for the team outside of he and returning center, James Moors.

Kante isn’t the same kind of offensive player as Roddy but he’s the same kind of rebounder and would do well at the Mountain West level. With Isaiah Stevens returning in the backcourt, Colorado State is in a win-now situation and could get a nice late boost in the frontcourt with Kante.
