NCAA Basketball: 8 teams that should target LIU Brooklyn transfer Isaac Kante
Oklahoma State Cowboys
The Cowboys are a team that struggled in the frontcourt last season, both on the boards and in overall scoring. Guard Isaac Likekele actually was second on the team in rebounding but he transferred out this offseason. That leaves starting center Moussa Cisse, along with Kalib Boone as the lone returning key frontcourt players.
Similar to Minnesota, Kante probably wouldn’t start at Oklahoma State, mainly because it would be a nightmare to pair him with Cisse on offense. But Cisse only averaged 20 mpg last season and Kante can easily either be his backup or play more with Boone in the frontcourt for certain situations.
St. Bonaventure Bonnies
If wanting to play closer to New York is an option, the Bonnies could be a team that could use another transfer after literally rebuilding its entire roster this offseason. They did well in the backcourt, adding a trio of double-digit scoring guards but the frontcourt had a few more lottery-type pickups, including Pitt transfer Max Amadasun and Chad Venning from Morgan State.
Kante would be the most proven frontcourt addition all offseason and very well could start. And the Atlantic 10 is an upgrade talent-wise from the CAA but his specific skillset would make it an easier transition.
