5. Remy Martin – Arizona State / Kansas

An under-the-radar player early in his career, Martin is a 6’0 guard who went from Chatsworth to Arizona State back in 2017, playing four seasons in the Pac-12 with the Sun Devils. He starred at Arizona State and did fantastic work, but the real glory came in his fifth collegiate season. Martin spent the previous season at Kansas, helping lead the Jayhawks to the national championship.

The Pac-12’s Sixth Man of the Year as a freshman, Martin was a major piece in the offense his final three seasons with the Sun Devils. He averaged nearly 4 assists per game across those four seasons in Tempe and averaged 19.1 points per game in each of his last two years with the Sun Devils. He missed time due to an injury while at Kansas, but was still an efficient weapon on the Jayhawks’ championship team, scoring 20 and 23 points in victories over Creighton and Providence respectively.

This talented point guard can boast not just that championship ring, but was also a two-time member of the All-Pac-12 First Team long before arriving in Kansas. Even though his fifth year was one of his least productive, Martin still played an important role on a title-winning team after years of carrying the Sun Devils. He was not drafted, but will no doubt figure out a way to continue an impressive basketball career.
