4. Allen Crabbe – California

We’re staying in the Pac-12 but we’re taking you way back to when Crabbe starred at California, as he arrived on campus as a four-star recruit way back in 2010. In recent memory, the Golden Bears have really struggled as a program; they weren’t very good even when the aforementioned Matt Bradley was there, but things were different when Crabbe was on this roster.

He was named Pac-12 Rookie of the Year after accumulating 13.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, all while shooting 40% from long range. His sophomore year was even better while his final season was the definition of efficiency, shooting 53% from the field and averaging 18.4 points per game. California finished 2nd in the Pac-12 in back-to-back seasons, making a pair of trips to the NCAA Tournament as well.

Crabbe was the Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2013 for that fantastic final season, his second straight year on the All-Pac-12 First Team. With how the Golden Bears’ program has progressed in the years since, Crabbe’s accomplishments look even more impressive, especially with how the team played. He was taken by the Cleveland Cavaliers early in the second round of the NBA Draft and has played professionally in the NBA and G-League for the last nine years.
