10. Canyon Barry – Charleston

The son of Basketball Hall of Famer Rick Barry, the younger Barry grew up in Colorado Springs. A 6’6 shooting guard, Barry began his collegiate career at the College of Charleston on the east coast, spending three seasons in the CAA with the Cougars. Barry’s final year of college ball was spent at Florida, grad transferring to join the Gators for the 2016-17 season.

Barry worked his way into the starting lineup for the Cougars midway through his freshman season. He was an important piece of the Charleston offense the next two seasons, eventually averaging 19.7 points per game during his junior year, though he did miss more than half of the season with a shoulder injury. After having three 30+ scoring outings in that shortened season, he went to Florida where he became a critical piece and the second-leading scorer on a Gators squad that went to the Elite Eight.

Barry likely would’ve been an All-CAA player had he avoided injury his junior season, but did win SEC Sixth Man of the Year for his efforts as a senior. He clearly wasn’t the same kind of player as his father, but he put up solid scoring and rebounding numbers at Charleston and was an important piece for that run for Florida. The last five years have seen him continuing his professional career, with a long stint in the G-League.
