9. Justinian Jessup – Boise State

Himself a 6’7 guard from Longmont, Jessup’s college career saw him stay west of the Mississippi, latching on at Boise State back in 2016. An impressive athlete, Jessup spent all four years of his collegiate career with the Broncos, helping lead Boise State’s renaissance in recent seasons.

A starter for most of his career, the first few seasons saw Jessup grow more comfortable in the offense; an offense in which he wasn’t the first option. His sophomore season saw him hit nearly 46% of his 3-pointers, while by his junior season, he was averaging 14.0 points per game, even while dealing with a knee injury. The senior year was certainly the best, as Jessup averaged 16.0 points per game, made just under 96% of his free throws and helped lead the Broncos to 20 wins in the pandemic-shortened season.

The junior year saw him named Third Team All-MWC and he was upgraded to Second Team for his swan song. Jessup was a talented shooter, finishing his career at the top of MWC leaderboards for 3-pointers with 325. He played a ton of minutes and was still efficient. Drafted in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors, he hasn’t been on an NBA roster, but likely has a few more solid years of professional career ahead of him.
