Each NCAA basketball program is different and each fan remembers things differently as well. Different eras of the sport produced different stars or results, and it’s clear that some programs had their glory days at wildly different times. The true result is that college basketball has hummed along for over a hundred years and produced thousands and thousands of memorable moments and players along the way.

Today’s focus isn’t on one hundred years but simply on the most recent decade. We are continuing the series that looks at the ten best players from each individual state. The focus of today’s piece is on the state of Connecticut, a state that’s produced some impressive talent across recent memory. Remember, today’s article is about the best basketball players from the state of Connecticut, it’s not a piece about the best Huskies from the past ten seasons.

The state of Connecticut may be quite small, especially compared to the other states in the nation, but it’s still produced some big names. Being located so close to New York City certainly helps, though clearly the state’s talent is not on the same level as a bigger state like New York. However, we’ve still got a few very impressive players on this list, especially near the very end; perhaps these are players you didn’t realize came from this state.

As always, it’s important to impress upon all readers that this article is not about the best players born in Connecticut or the best players who went to high school in Connecticut. Players are sorted into states based on their hometowns, which are typically given on school websites and other documents. If you don’t see someone on this list that you thought would be here; their hometown likely was not in Connecticut. Without further ado, let’s get right into this list, knowing there are ten intriguing players for us to focus on today.
