Every season of NCAA Basketball gives us new moments and memories. Obviously, players don’t stay in college for more than four or five years, meaning we’re often seeing complete turnover across the sport on a year-to-year basis. As a result, there have been thousands of players suiting up on court over the years.

Again, we’re not focusing on all of those years, today’s focus is just on the last decade of basketball. Today is the eighth article in the series looking closely at the ten best players from each state. We’ll be switching gears to look closely at the best prospects and players from America’s first state, with our deep dive into Delaware.

When people think of Delaware, they likely don’t picture a hotbed of collegiate excellence, especially when the state only has two D1 universities. However, with New York and Philadelphia both around, the state actually has produced a decent amount of talent in recent years, with most of those players going on to play in the nearby schools or in New England. It’s not a deep pool of talent like in New York or Pennsylvania, but we’re not exactly looking at a bunch of scrubs here.

Before we proceed with the rankings, it’s again important to realize that this is not a list of the best players who went to college in Delaware, nor who went to high school there either. The players who qualify for the Delaware list are those whose hometowns are in the state, even if they were born or attended school in a different location. Now that we’ve fully explained how things work, let’s proceed right to the rankings, running through ten solid players from Delaware.
