1. Donte DiVincenzo – Villanova

DiVincenzo started his college career as just a 6’5 guard from Wilmington, hoping to make an impact at Villanova. By the end of that career, he was not just a first-round NBA draft pick, but a two-time national champion who had done some pretty incredible things across a three-year career with the Wildcats.

A foot injury limited his freshman year, though he was on hand to witness the Wildcats winning the national championship in 2016. His second season of college ball saw him as the first option off the bench, averaging 8.8 points per game, including a 25-point effort against St. John’s in the Big East Tournament. It’s the third and final year that made DiVincenzo a star, averaging 13.4 points and 3.5 assists per game, again mostly as the best option off the bench. In the national title game versus Michigan, he scored 31 points to lead the Wildcats to their second title in three years.

DiVincenzo was named the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player and also received honors as the Big East Sixth Man of the Year. He put up impressive figures despite spending most of his career coming off the bench. There was always talent around him, but he racked up impressive shooting and assist numbers. He was drafted with the 17th pick of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, winning an NBA championship one season ago, giving him three rings already in an impressive basketball career.
