NCAA Basketball: Analyzing final 5 teams for four-star forward TJ Power
Duke Blue Devils
The Blue Devils currently have the No. 1 class of 2023 group, including four top-30 prospects. One of them is 6’8 forward Sean Stewart who is an athletic and versatile frontcourt player in the group. Assuming that current five-star freshman Mark Mitchell is indeed a “one and done” player, there will be room potentially available for someone like Power to join and have an impact at Duke.
The Blue Devils have a ton to offer, both on and off the court for Power but will the playing time be available? That’s always the one question to ask, especially if they land a transfer next offseason. But his shooting ability offers something different that no one else in the frontcourt can do, making this a real potential match between the sides.
Iowa Hawkeyes
After landing top-150 wing Pryce Sandfort this past weekend, the Hawkeyes now have three commits in the 2023 class. Power would easily be the best of the bunch and could easily be the focal point in the offense while at there. This is an offense that can turn players into superstars, such as Luka Garza and Keegan Murray, and potentially, Kris Murray this upcoming season.
If Murray does leave after next season for the pros, that would open the door for someone like Power to have an early impact, which would mean lots of points. The Big Ten also is a top-tier NCAA Basketball so there would be plenty of competition and a national stage to play on too.
