Every year, minus those affected by world pandemics, has given us memorable moments in the NCAA Tournament. Millions around the nation, perhaps even the world, flock to their televisions or bracket pools as March Madness takes over the sporting world. But even before the postseason, there are so many storylines and games and memorable encounters in the NCAA Basketball world.
Long before they head to college, thousands of young people likely dream of their moment on that biggest stage: March Madness. Today, we’re continuing our long-running series that has looked at the best college basketball players of the last ten years from each individual state. We’re already run through more than a dozen states, but there’s something very special about the Hoosier State.
Basketball is sacred in Indiana; a state that’s home to many of the largest high school basketball arenas in the country. It’s much more than just Indiana vs. Purdue or the magic of recent Butler runs; it’s a part of life in Indiana. As you’d expect, the state has produced a plethora of basketball talent over the year, including numerous Hall of Famers and program-defining players. Today, our focus is just on the last ten years of players from this state.
The final note again is that this is an article about players from the state of Indiana, not players from Purdue or Notre Dame or any of those specific programs. Obviously, some of those players could appear on this list, if their hometowns are listed as being from Indiana.
