10. Sean McNeil – West Virginia

Today’s list begins with the 6’3 guard from Union who found his way over to West Virginia three years ago. McNeil joined Bob Huggins’ team back in 2019 and has played an increasing role as his career has progressed, though next season he’ll be donning a whole knew uniform.

McNeil wasn’t a starter and averaged just 5.5 points per game as a freshman, but was a bigger factor in his successive seasons. He averaged 12.2 points per game in both his sophomore and junior seasons, becoming a full-time starter in the backcourt. As a sophomore, he scored a career-high 26 points in a win at Texas Tech helping the Mountaineers to a third place finish in the Big 12.

McNeil was a solid contributor these last two seasons, certainly carving himself out a bigger role on this team. His shooting numbers were solid, hitting 41% of his shots this past season, while being one of the conference’s most accurate free throw shooters. For next season, McNeil is transferring to Ohio State, hoping to become a dynamic part of this Buckeyes team for his senior season.
