8. UCLA Bruins

Strength: Backcourt play

The Bruins already have one of the best point guards in the country returning in Tyger Cambpell for a 4th year. Joining him is Amari Bailey, a top-5 overall freshman prospect and combo guard. He can play on or off-ball alongside Campbell and gives the team one of the best backcourts in NCAA Basketball this upcoming season.

With sharpshooting veteran David Singleton III returning and top-50 ball-handlers, Will McClendon and Dylan Andrews also on the roster, UCLA is no short of both shooters and playmakers on the backcourt. And with Campbell being the lead guard, the team is in great shape on the perimeter.

Weakness: Forward depth

UCLA is brining back Jamie Jaquez, who averaged 13.9 ppg on the team and lead them with 5.7 rpg in the starting lineup. He’s a versatile combo forward that will play both the 3 and 4-spots on the court. Of course, there’s not many forwards on the roster overall, with Jaylen Clark also set to get big minutes as well at either position.

If the Bruins suffer one injury, they’ll be in a perilous position in that area. Or they’ll have to play three-guard lineups throughout the season as well. And hopefully, five-star center Adem Bona is as good as advertised as a freshman or else the entire frontcourt is in question outside of Jaquez.
