22. UConn Huskies

Strength: Adama Sanogo

While the backcourt has completely turned over this offseason, the one remaining constant is All-Big East center Adama Sanogo, one of the best big men in the country. He had a breakout sophomore campaign, averaging 14.8 ppg, 8.8 rpg, and 1.9 bpg last season, and can be one of the best two-way frontcourt players in the country.

With a bunch of transfers coming n on the perimeter, having a steady big man like Sanogo will help the transition process by a ton. UConn can force-feed him inside if need be to start off next season and Sanogo can dominate come Big East time against the small league centers.

Weakness: Power forward

The Huskies have no issue at center but power forward is another thing. With both Isaiah Whaley and Tyler Polley moving on, it’s wide open as to who’ll play the 40 minutes there. 6’10 Samson Johnson is the only other returning frontcourt player, while redshirt forward Alex Karaban is also a candidate.

The other options are for UConn to use small lineups, with 6’6 wing Andre Jackson as a real candidate. His versatility would be helpful for the team and for the other guards but there will be issues of rebounding and defense would be there with Jackson or any other non-center option at the four-spot.
