NCAA Basketball: Analyzing the reported recruitment of Bronny James
Bronny James is a high school senior, who is one of the top players in his NCAA Basketball recruiting class. He is also the son of Lebron James. Recently, he made headlines after throwing a monstrous dunk during his game against the under-18 French team. As he is a senior in high school, many people have been wondering what college James is considering attending next year.
Oregon Ducks
The Oregon Ducks are one of the schools Bronny James is considering committing to. While doing business with the prospect’s father has nothing to do with where the prospect will go to school. It is somewhat fair to mention that James has a great relationship with Nike. Nike is heavily associated with the Oregon Ducks brand and is located near the school.
While there was a report that they were the favorites to land the four-star project, Lebron James quickly dismissed that report. While that report was great reporting, it should be taken with a grain of salt. Lebron James said in a tweet that they have taken a single visit to a school yet. Considering that information, it is fair to say that there is no favorite school at this time.
USC and UCLA
UCLA and USC are two other schools that the four-star prospect is considering committing to. While these are two different schools, they must be grouped because they both have the same advantage. USC and UCLA are both in L.A. Currently, Lebron James plays for the L.A Lakers. Additionally, Bronny James attended high school in Los Angeles.
While these two schools have the same hometown advantage, there is an obvious difference between these two schools. Currently, UCLA has two freshmen from Bronny James’ former high school. USC does have a couple of players from James’s former high school but they only have one player who is a freshman.
