24. Oregon Ducks

Coach Dana Altman has brought in a lot of top-50 talent in the frontcourt over the past few years but the hit/miss ratio hasn’t been great recently. One of the few returning players left is N’Faly Dante, who had a healthy season and was the starting center last year, averaging 8.1 ppg and 6.3 rpg in 20 mpg.

Yet Dante may not even start this upcoming season. Oregon has a top-10 overall center prospect in Kel’el Ware, a 7’0 skilled big man. He’s a quality offensive player and a potential NBA prospect as well. It would be a clunky fit having both on the court together so how this works out will be interesting.

The Ducks will need a former five-star recruit Nathan Bittle to have an impact after not playing much as a freshman. He’s a 6’11 forward that can shoot but needs improvement almost everywhere to warrant more playing time.

The other forward on the roster is Quincy Guerrier, whose production dipped last season compared to his breakout campaign at Syracuse. He was awful in the first 10 games but did have several 15+ point efforts in the final 12 games to show some potential with Oregon. He needs to be much more consistent and a bigger part of the offense for the team to be successful, otherwise, the Ducks will need Ware to be a star freshman to make them a tournament contender.
