19. Arkansas Razorbacks

Even without All-SEC center Jaylin Williams to anchor the frontcourt, head coach Eric Musselman was already prepared, bringing in four transfers capable of playing inside. The biggest name of the group is Jalen Graham, a 6’9 forward from Arizona State that averaged 9.9 ppg and 4.2 rpg last season. He’s a solid frontcourt scorer and gives the Razorbacks a low-post threat this season.

The next two comes from Rhode Island in Makhel and Makhi Mitchell, a pair of twin transfers with big bodies. They were the top scorers for the Rams, combining to average over 20 ppg and 13 rpg last season. The Mitchells are good defenders as well, combining to block 117 shots. They’re the biggest players for Arkansas and will be physical bodies against some of the top centers of the SEC but they probably can’t play together offensively.

The other newcomer and player to watch is Trevon Brazile, a freshman transfer from Missouri who started 23 games and averaged 6.6 ppg and 5.1 rpg, as well as two blocks a game. He’s an NBA-level athlete and a great rim runner and in the right system could be a breakout star. Brazile has been impressive in the team’s preseason tour and could start for Arkansas.

All four frontcourt transfers are good defenders and will have most of their impact on that end. How much Brazile grows could turn this haul from good to great, taking some pressure off of the freshmen guards on the roster to produce.
