6. Devin Booker – Kentucky

Before he became an NBA All-Star and a household name, Booker was just a 6’6 guard from Grand Rapids. Some sites had him as a 5-star prospect, and he was recruited to play at Kentucky under John Calipari. Booker spent a single season in the college game, but he and the Wildcats sure made it count.

In Booker’s freshman year, he averaged 10.0 points per game as the Wildcat’s first man off the bench, playing in all but one game of their historic season. Kentucky won their first 38 games that season before falling in the Final Four to Wisconsin. Booker contributed 19 points in a win over UCLA and had double-digit efforts in both the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight, all coming off the bench of course.

Booker never started a game in his collegiate career, winning SEC Sixth Man of the Year and being named to the SEC’s All-Freshman team. He had a tremendous impact on both sides of the ball for the Wildcats and finished 10th in the conference in 3-point field goals. He was drafted in the middle of the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns and has blossomed into a star in Phoenix, helping recently lead them to the NBA Finals.
