Each summer day you’ll find children, young adults, and people of all ages bouncing a basketball or shooting hoops at local parks or in driveways. Basketball is one of the country’s most popular sports. Many dream of making it big at basketball’s highest level, but for one month a year, everyone dreams of something else. During March Madness, nearly everyone’s focus is on the game of NCAA Basketball, watching as their brackets bust and as memorable moments and madness is made.

Many of those young people dream of playing on basketball’s biggest stage, no matter what part of the country they are from. That is certainly no different in the middle of the country in a state like Missouri. Today is the continuation of our long-running state series, where we’re looking closely at the best college basketball players of the last ten years from each state. Every state has had some solid players to offer and things are no different in the Show-Me State.

St. Louis and Kansas City sit on opposite ends of Missouri, but there are also some talented players that have come from in between these two urban centers. Missouri has produced some really great college basketball athletes in recent years, with high-profile recruits and impressive producers, and everything in between. With today’s focus on the state of Missouri, it’s important to remember that this is not a piece about the Tigers, though they might just be mentioned a few times.

This article is about players from the state of Missouri, meaning specifically those whose hometowns are from the state. It doesn’t matter if they went to college or high school in the state; that will not make them part of this list. It’s also important to realize that there are ten really good players featured today, so if somebody you expected to see didn’t make the list, they either aren’t from Missouri or just missed the cut. Without further ado, we’ve got quite a list of names to run through so let’s get after it.
