9. Isiaih Mosley – Missouri State

A 6’5 forward from Columbia, Mosley has turned himself into quite the star playing in his home state. He did have a few SEC others but chose to play his college days at Missouri State, spending the last three seasons with the Bears in the MVC. After a decent start as a freshman, he’s really become a mid-major star in the seasons following and set himself up for some real success in the future.

Mosley became a walking bucket for the Bears, showing flashes of this as a freshman but really coming on strong the following season. He averaged 19.8 and 20.4 points per game as a sophomore and junior respectively. Among his most impressive performances was a 43-point effort against Northern Iowa and a clutch 40-point outing in a road win at Loyola-Chicago. The Bears couldn’t quite get over the hump in a tough MVC, but Mosley did have a nice performance in the NIT this past season.

As he led the conference in points in those two seasons, it’s no surprise that Mosley was twice named to the All-MVC First Team. He became the highest volume offensive player in the conference and shined for a talented Missouri State team. Next season, he won’t be back with the Bears, transferring instead to join Missouri and team with new coach Dennis Gates. He likely won’t have the same volume of scoring prowess, but Mosley has proved that he’s an effective weapon.
