24, Tanner Holden – Ohio State Buckeyes

2021-22 stats (at Wright State): 20.1 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 2.6 apg

The 6’6 guard/wing has improved every year for the Raiders, scoring four more points each season. He was arguably the best scorer in the Horizon League, scoring 38 points at Illinois-Chicago and 37 points in the NCAA Tournament opening win over Bryant. He’s an aggressive scorer and is great at mid-range but doesn’t shoot many three-pointers.

There are a lot of potential scorers at Ohio State next season and if Holden can’t get to the basket/free throw line at the Big Ten Basketball, could affect how much he produces. But it’s hard to ignore a 20 ppg scorer coming to the league that has been as potent as Holden.

23. Tyler Wahl – Wisconsin Badgers

2021-22 stats: 11.4 ppg and 5.9 rpg

The 6’9 forward doubled his production last season to become the focal point of the Badgers’ frontcourt. After a slow start, Wahl became a near-consistent double-digit scorer, including back-to-back 20-point games and a career-high 23 points against Rutgers. His rebounding isn’t great and will have to improve on that, as well as try to become a better threat to spread the floor.

Wahl is the returning leading scorer for Wisconsin and with Big Ten Basketball Player of the Year Johnny Davis gone, has the chance to be the focal point of the offense. Is he ready for that? Look for Wisconsin to test that out early by throwing him the ball down low a lot.
